You can fix it with a parallel cable (aka printer cable or LPT cable) and a (probably old) PC that has a parallel port:

http://www.goldeneyeforever.com/gamesha ... torial.php

http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/sh ... -3-to-Work

After connecting it you need to reset the firmware using a special program.

Note that most parallel/USB adapters are a simpler type that won't work with GameShark, but there are SOME cables which are true parallel port emulators and support all the pins. Those should work, but they are probably hard to come by and a lot more expensive as well.
Statistics: Posted by vegard — 24 Jun 2014, 19:28

If it displays an 8 that means it's corrupted.
Statistics: Posted by trakilicious — 24 Jun 2014, 18:27

Bought a Gameshark 3.2 on the interwebs.

Gay thing displays an 8, doesn't count down, how do I fix this? It's pissed me off seeing as it was late to be delivered too.

I know they're pretty shitty and break easily, could it be corrupt or something? Is there a fix?

Thanks, praise to lord sicko
Statistics: Posted by ThatDrunkenDwarf — 21 Jun 2014, 18:56
