Check out the guides section. There isn't really an up-to-date route but the Easy 2 route with new cannonless setup is really what new players should be doing for 16 star. BoB 1, WF 6, CCM 8, DW, SSL 10, LLL 11, HMC 15 (toad as 13th star), DDD 16 etc.

Sup guys, PhoZ here (pho [fuh] z [well, yeah..]) I've played M64 my whole life and want to start speedrunning, obviously. I'm wondering right now what I should start practicing in terms of tech. Thanks a bunch, hope to see you up there in the leaderboards!
