Lobby Movement Time Chart
Posted: 03 Dec 2014, 02:09
Something simple that no one has done before (if they had, lol, then why do people even wonder about "which 120 route has better castle movement") but that can put an end to the optimal route question once and for all (non LBLJ).
Individual comparisons for each route are irrelevant as long as you have this thing. Knowing how much time you lose/gain by lobby movement becomes basically a math problem.
The video I made and times I wrote are >>>NOT<<< optimized at all. I made them for myself as a reference when comparing routes, and as a "model" if anyone/group of people want to compile the sick lobby movement strats and make an improved version of this chart.
Segments were made using two frames off of the first movement one and last one that mario isn't touching the door.
EDIT: The chart is how much it takes from (line) to (column). Mirror and impossible (DW->UP) times are "0.000"

I put the chart as a image at the start of the video... sorry, I'm ridiculously illiterate on html or whatever so I can't space this correctly >_< here it is anyway just because why the hell not. Looks better in notepad with "tab" spaces
. . . . . BOB . . CCM . . DW . . .WF . . .JRB . . Slide . . UP . . .BAS
mid-> 2.769 - 2.135 - 2.903 - 2.269 - 2.436 - 3.136 - 2.035 - 1.835
BOB-> 0.000 - 1.335 - 1.568 - 3.670 - 4.404 - 3.437 - 2.469 - 1.502
CCM-> 1.201 -0.000 - 2.269 - 3.203 - 3.904 - 4.104 - 3.170 - 0.934
DW--> 1.235 - 1.602 - 0.000 - 3.237 - 3.804 - 2.870 - 0.000 - 1.468
WF--> 3.904 - 3.303 - 4.037 - 0.000 - 1.401 - 2.202 - 3.070 - 0.868
JRB-> 3.871 - 3.303 - 4.271 - 1.435 - 0.000 - 1.735 - 3.036 - 1.635
min. 4middle(BAS,BAS,Slide,Slide/WC), 2BOB, 1CCM, 1DW, 1WF, 1JRB, 1to UP, 2to slide, 2to BAS
Even with that will people still use routes just based on level preferences? Obviously. But you can at least eliminate the shit movement ones and know the time differences.
Didn't even do "to middle" (with lobby light on) timings, if someone wants to do wingcap after non-slide. Cause that's just dumb. pc.
