Idea for a code: Make all switches unpressed hotkey (for Wing cap and SIGLEMIIIIIIIC)

Don't know how complex it would be to make, though

People have wanted it for a long time, but yes it is hard and frustrating.

Edit: Here's a better switch respawn code. The switches will still be unpressed each time you load the level, but it shouldn't affect anything else and it'll work for all files.
Edit2: Shortened.

Spawn Switches Unpressed (US)
812A6FAC 1000

Spawn Switches Unpressed (JP)
812A6748 1000

This code sucks, but it seems to do the job. It writes to the flag that stores the switch states, forcing them to be unpressed each time you reload the level. But it also unlocks both castle doors in the process. Use the code that matches the save slot you're playing.

Code: Select all
US

Keep Switches Unpressed (Slot A)
8020770B 00C1

Keep Switches Unpressed (Slot B)
8020777B 00C1

Keep Switches Unpressed (Slot C)
802077EB 00C1

Keep Switches Unpressed (Slot D)
8020785B 00C1

JP

Keep Switches Unpressed (Slot A)
80207B0B 00C1

Keep Switches Unpressed (Slot B)
80207B7B 00C1

Keep Switches Unpressed (Slot C)
80207BEB 00C1

Keep Switches Unpressed (Slot D)
80207C5B 00C1

Here's a code to force the sub to spawn in DDD (also removes poles).

Always Spawn Sub (US)
812C1A54 1000
813136E0 2400

Always Spawn Sub (JP)
812C1088 1000
813125D4 2400

Edit: Shortened.

This makes Mips always spawn, credit to Viper187. It can be used with Vegard's 50th star text box code.

"Mips" The Rabbit Is Always There Even After Caught (US)
812F8526 FFEF
812F8534 2400

"Mips" The Rabbit Is Always There Even After Caught (JP)
812F7482 FFF4
812F7490 2400

This code will automatically reset the timer at the star select screen, it helps with those times when you forget to reset the timer after first entering a level. Use it with your existing timer code.

Automatically Reset Timer at Star Select (US)
D033B239 0004
8133B26C 0000

Automatically Reset Timer at Star Select (JP)
D0339EC9 0004

Easily get back to the title screen to switch files without a hard reset.

Edit: Code updated to work around a stupid GS bug. GS 3.x required.

Soft Reset (A+B+Z+Start) (US)
D133AFA0 F000
8133B238 0004
D133AFA0 F000
8133B248 0101

Soft Reset (A+B+Z+Start) (JP)
D1339C30 F000
81339EC8 0004
D1339C30 F000

Jagerblue wrote:I have a 2.1 gameshark and I've been using the level reset code just fine.

The 8-bit coin reset code does not work for me, but the 16-bit one does.

However, when I try to run the level reset code AND the 16-bit coin reset, it doesn't allow me to load up the game.. can I combine the two codes in one or something? Any ideas why it's being weird? lol

This could be because you have a 2.1 gameshark. Also if you dont have an expansion pack some codes wont work when used together.
