Keyboard-to-N64 adapter?

Does anybody know if there exists an adapter that lets you connect a keyboard to the N64? Or if it's possible to make one yourself? Soldering is not a problem.

Seems like it goes through a computer, though? It's weird. But it should be impossible to use an arduino to do it.
