If you just want to get some runs going, don't even bother with lakitu skip / bombclip / owless...
Otherwise you might as well start learning these, they're among the easiest time savers (although owless precision is kinda tricky and it saves less than the other two).

Or just run away from it, no need to clip the cage, no need to clip the ship, no need to clip the ceiling in HMC, no need to TJdive or TJWK in BiTS no reds, no need to learn all those hard tricks, just speedrun the same way you play Harvest Moon...

Yeah don't even learn how to sideflip wall kick for wild blue; use the cannon and don't learn to drop off the beginning of CCM slide ...in fact just run around and play casually because learning tricks is WAY too hard and time consuming.
