Emulator is roughly 1 minute faster in 70 and 2 minutes faster in 120, assuming you change your rom settings to counter factor 1. Otherwise it's pretty close to being the same in 70. The two versions play pretty much identically, except the n64 version has lag in a lot of spots that require specific camera angles to avoid, something you don't have to do on cf1 emu.

No one will mind you playing on emulator, but once you get to a higher level it's pretty much expected that you change to console, just for the sake of competing with others. You don't have to, but that's what a lot of people will assume you're planning.

If you're going to play emu, you should use the US version though. The J rom isn't very good. J and US are nearly identical speeds anyway.

Thanks, the J rom is randomly choppy and the controls are a bit different aswell. Not sure why its like that on emu as its fine on console.

i use both emu versions and i didn't notice rough differences. do you know about one specific place/part of the game where controls/laggs are different, so i could check for myself?
